Class Meeting 10: User Testing + Final Project Prototype Refinement
Learning Goals
- You will learn about your fellow students' final projects.
- You will learn how to give constructive feedback.
- You will consider the comments given by your "users" and iterate on your prototype.
Today's Timeline
- 10:00-10:30 Prepare Prototype: Continue working on your prototype and get it to a spot where you can demo most of its functionality
- 10:30-10:45 User Testing: User test with your partner group and fill out the worksheet provided
- 10:45-11:15 Final Touches & Presentation Preparation: Finish building your prototype and prepare for your final presentation on Thursday
- 11:15-12:00 [OPTIONAL] Make Up Work: For anyone who wants to make up work from prior class meetings, you are welcome to stay after class to work on it. As a reminder, you can resubmit (as many times as you want) any exit tickets to be graded for full credit.
User Testing Procedure
Please refer to this list for your user testing partner groups:
- Groups 1, 4, and 5
- Groups 2 and 3
- Groups 6 and 7
Please interact with your partner group's final project prototype and note down your thoughts in the worksheet provided. You will need to submit a photo of both the worksheet you fill out for your partner group and the one they fill out for your group in today's exit ticket.
Final Presentation & Demo Video Preparation
Please spend some time towards the end of this class to review the requirements for the final presentation here. You'll also be required to submit a 30-second demo video of your final project during class on Thursday as a part of Thursday's exit ticket, so you can also spend time preparing for that.
We will begin final presentations at 10:15am on Thursday, so please be prepared to present your final project at that time.
Today's Exit Ticket
Here's a link to today's exit ticket survey. The exit ticket will ask you for:
- A photo of the worksheet you filled out for your partner group.
- A photo of the worksheet your partner group filled out for your group.
