UPDATE on the textbook..
The book for Summer 2013 will still be Building Java Programs by Reges et. al. 2nd edition.
The 2nd edition is not the new edition (they're onto the 3rd). My *hope* is that you can find the 2nd edition at a discount. If you're stuck getting the 3rd edition, it's fine - it contains all the same material plus some more - it's just thicker, and the pagination is different.
We won't be using the book until a few weeks into the course anyway, so you have a little time to get it.
You have things you NEED TO DO BEFORE our first class on Thu. June 27, 2013.
Do this:
- Go here: http://cs.ucls.uchicago.edu/moodle
- Create a new account
- Find CSPP 50101 in the course listings and enroll in it.
- Do all of the Pre-Work listed in the first unit
