All the students remarked that Mr.O'Donnell was a good lecturer who exhibited a great deal of enthusiasm for the material. Most found the texts, Roads?Computer Music Tutorial and Strawn's Digital Audio Signal Processing, personally enriching but lacking relevance to the material discussed in class. Coursework consisted of a series of projects assigned every other week, and the time spent per week on the class range from 4 to 15 hours. In lieu of a final exam, Mr. O'Donnell conducted personal interviews with the students about the project they had worked on throughout the quarter. This determined 75% of the grade; the remainder was based on class participation.

The lectures were reported to be good by almost all the students. Several students commented that Mr. O'Donnell was the best instructor the students have had in Computer Science. Students felt he was very helpful.

There was one main class project which everyone participated in. Mr. O'Donnell then interviewed each student about the project to determine the student's grade. Students were not satisfied with the textbook, Digital Audio Signal Processing by Strawn.
