CS 251 Project Page

The project will consist of a program and an accompanying paper. The paper will range from an architectural overview (for a project geared towards the program) to a thorough research paper with a few of the ideas implemented as a program.

• Code must be in Lisp
• One of the following topics:
  • Planning
  • Robotics (Including perception)
  • Machine learning
  • Uncertainty in AI
  • Natural language

Intermediate deadlines

Project description (Thursday, Week 3)

The project description must be one page, single spaced and must include: the project thesis(your hypothesis), the names of all team members, the project topic and a list of research sources.

Initial research (Thursday, Week 5)

This should include a description of your initial research findings to date, and a plan to answer the remaining questions. You must also include at least 100 lines of Lisp code that you have written and a description of the system architecture.

Final draft (Tuesday, Week 8)

The project must be completed in its entirety by this point, and you (or your team) should schedule a time to meet with me during Week 8.

Final due date (Tuesday, Week 10)

The revised project is due at the last class.
