To use our instructional web server for a class, you should visit our page for requesting instructional web pages. On that page, you will select who you are (there is a list of current courses), and tell us who your TAs are. After this request has been processed, a UNIX group will be created (you and your TAs will be added to the group), and a sample course directory will be created for you. If our list is inaccurate, please send us email and we will fix the problem.
The course directory will correspond to the UNIX directory: /stage/classes/archive/[year]/[quarter]/CS[course number]/[section number]/ . When the quarter for the course is the current quarter, this directory will also be accessible as: /stage/classes/current/CS[course number]/[section number]/. For example, this course directory corresponds to the UNIX directories: /stage/classes/current/CS000/01/, and /stage/classes/archive/1999/fall/CS000/01/. The instructor for each section owns the individual section directory.
These directories are available from our instructional webserver www.classes.cs.uchicago.edu. From the home page, there are links for the current classes, and a link for the archive of all classes.
